A Brief History
Adpack Europe Limited started trading in October 1990, when Ivan and
Elaine Tutin saw a gap in the marketplace for a company able to offer local
manufacturers an efficient and inexpensive contract packing and delivery
service.
Ivan was able to bring his many years expertise as production director of a
large Milton Keynes-based packaging company, and together with Elaine's
experience in commercial and administrative procedures, they were well equipped
from the beginning to launch what has since become an extremely successful
business.
Adpack began operating from a cramped 200 sq. ft. unit with just two
members of staff. Today the company employs around 45 people on a 20,000 sq.ft.
site, and its products
are delivered all over the UK.
Staff are actively encouraged to contribute fully to the future development
of the company and views and ideas are welcomed by the management who have
always adopted an 'open door' policy.
The company operated a highly effective Quality Management System which was
registered by the British Standards Institute to the international standard BS
EN ISO 9002, in January 1998.
In just fifteen years Adpack has enjoyed considerable growth, with quality
standards being constantly reviewed.
A Wholesale Dealers Licence was granted by the Medicines Control Agency (MCA) in May 1999 which allows Adpack
to store and distribute pharmaceutical products.
In May 2000 an Assembly Licence from the MCA was granted, allowing Adpack
to offer a full service of packing licensed pharmaceutical products.
A major milestone was achieved in 2003, and 6 months ahead of planned
schedule, when Adpack's Quality Management System was awarded BS EN ISO
9001:2000 status by the BSI.
All our customers' products are produced in accordance with the principles of
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). We welcome audits from external sources and
have been approved to pack for major multiples. |
